CASN School Nurse Administrator of the Year
The intent of this award is to publicly recognize school nurse administrators by annually honoring one administrator who administers and coordinates quality school nursing services and health programs. This award is open to any current school nurse administrator in Colorado. Nominees may be nominated by any school nurse, parent, or other administrator.
The nominee must be a registered professional nurse, be a member of NASN/CASN for the current and preceding five years (without lapse in membership). The nominee must have completed five years experience in school health, and currently practice full-time and have the main responsibility be the supervision, administration, and coordination of nursing service and health programs. Nominee may not be on the CASN Board at the time of nomination. Evidence of excellence in school nursing administration must be based on ANA Scope and Standards for Nurse Administrators.
